Almost Perfect Match
Q: My friend introduced me to her friend's friend. Here's the thing though, I am very much into the study of astrology and completely believe in the astrological signs and their power over us. I have made pretty big life decisions based off the alignment of planets with great success. I know it sounds crazy, and most people would think I'm a nut, and that's understandable. However, it's what I believe in, so you can imagine how disappointed I was when I asked the man I was seeing what his sign was and realized we had very opposing signs. Right now things are great, but should I ignore the influence of a belief system I have held for the last 20 years because at the moment it feels right? -Teresa, 37
Dr. Anna: Have you ever dated someone who was a good astrological match, but the relationship didn't work? If so, then you might be willing to give the relationship a try—even if the stars say the relationship might be destined for heartbreak. There are many happy, strong couples whose signs are a mismatch like Beyonce (Virgo) and Jay Z (Sagittarius) or Bill (Scorpio) and Melinda (Leo) Gates. There aren't guarantees in any relationship, even with a perfect match in signs. Why not hang in there and see what happens?
