I recently went on a blind date with a former classmate of mine. We had been reunited at a class reunion and thought we'd give it a try. This has to be the absolute worst mistake of my life. We decided to meet for dinner at his favorite restaurant. When we arrived, the hostess seated us at a table with a great view of the city. I gathered that she and he must have met before, because they carried on a conversation with one another for about half an hour. Meanwhile the waitress came and took our orders--but guess who knew the waitress as well? They ended up talking about old times, too. I think that throughout the entire date, we talked about 15 minutes. Needless to say, my date had dated nearly half the female staff at this restaurant, so it was no wonder he said it was his favorite.
