Since I'm 66 years old, I do not have the chance to go out with many women, but last year I hit a lucky streak. I have never been married; I just like going out with different women and enjoying their company. I ran into a woman at the grocery store where she was shopping for her granddaughter's birthday party. We started up a conversation immediately, and she asked me what I was doing that evening. I replied that I had no plans, so she invited me to the party as her date. I was so excited that I rushed home and started getting ready for the evening. She had told me to dress casually and to meet her at 8 p.m. at the address she had given me. I left the house around 7:15 so I would be sure not to get lost or arrive late. It was just my luck that as 8 p.m. approached, I could not find the house. When I finally stopped at a gas station to ask for better directions, another man, about my age, approached the counter. He seemed to be going in the same direction. I found the house about 10 minutes later, all right, but I also found that four other gentlemen had been invited! So there I stood at the front door with four other guys, waiting for our woman friend to open the door. I left, and have not gone on a date since.
