My Dear Love (Sonnet)
Oh, my dear love is like a red, red rose
The summers sun kissed our arms only days ago
The sweet blades of grass that play on our toes
Shall our good days be cut short, our hours low?
The hanging gardens drop low, no longer high
But then your smile shines through the lightless night
Are they a symbol of a soon goodbye?
And it is here I know well be alright
Our love sways in the rhythm of a spell
How the memory of you shall not scar
Not only will you stay, but I know well
Your sweet petal and my leaf are not far
For my love is beautiful without flaw
And this makes me the happiest of all
