Ole Miss set to hire MTSU's Kermit Davis as head coach

Middle Tennessee coach Kermit Davis will be named head coach of Ole Miss, replacing Andy Kennedy.

According to multiple reports, Davis agreed to replace Andy Kennedy and become coach of the Rebels on Wednesday. The official announcement is expected this week.

Davis, 58, has coached Middle Tennessee since 2002 and has at least 24 victories in six of his last seven seasons. The Blue Raiders won NCAA Tournament games in 2016 and 2017.

Ole Miss was 12-20 last season and Kennedy resigned in February.
