FORT WORTH, TEXAS - OCTOBER 31: Republican U.S. Senate candidate, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton poses for photographs with former NBA player Enes Kanter Freedom during a campaign event at Cullen Yards on October 31, 2026 in Fort Worth, Texas. Earlier this year, Kanter Freedom announced he will enter the 2027 WNBA draft as a critique of transgender women playing in sports. In what has become the most expensive senate race in U.S. history, Paxton and Democratic U.S. Senate candidate, Texas State Rep. James Talarico are running neck-and-neck in a state that President Donald Trump won by 14 percentage points in 2024. (Photo by Chip Somodevilla/Getty Images)
