Former Serbian basketball star Dejan Bodiroga, a candidate on the student-backed electoral list, stands in front of a polling station after casting his ballot for Serbia's snap parliamentary elections in Belgrade on October 25, 2026. The vote is the culmination of nearly two years of student-led protests sparked by the 2024 collapse of a canopy at Novi Sad railway station that killed 16 people, a tragedy widely blamed on corruption.
