Defendant, German entrepreneur and gastronome Christina Block (front R) stands next to her lawyer Ingo Bott (front L) prior to the continuation of the trial over alleged child abduction, while Block's partner and co-defendant Gerhard Delling (back), a former sports journalist, is seen behind them at the Criminal Court in Hamburg, northern Germany, at the start of another trial session on September 22, 2026. The public prosecutor's office accuses Block, heiress of a steakhouse chain, of ordering the abduction of her daughter, born in 2010, and her son, born in 2013. According to the indictment, the background to this is an escalating custody dispute over many years between Block and her former husband, who have four children together.
