BOGOTA, Colombia (AP) — The Associated Press has withdrawn its story about a Peruvian court convicting four men in the killing of an environmental defender. The story referenced the unrelated killing of Indigenous leader Américo Pascuala Tomisha, based on a statement from the Indigenous organization known as ORAU. That statement has since been retracted and ORAU said Pascuala Tomisha was not killed. AP will publish a corrected version of the story.
