WASHINGTON, DC - OCTOBER 06: President of the National Baptist Convention Rev. Dr. Boise Kimber joins community organizers, labor unions and other faith leaders to rally against driverless vehicles, or "robotaxis," in front of the Wilson Building on October 06, 2026 in Washington, DC. Organized by The People First Transportation Alliance, the demonstrators rallied against the District of Columbia's proposed Autonomous Vehicle Deployment Authorization Amendment Act of 2026, which would create a legal framework for commercial robotaxis like Waymo to operate in Washington by 2028.
